Dr. Ballard is a long term resident of Ukiah and Northern California.
His parents moved to Ukiah almost 30 years ago, and still live here.
Dr. Ballard attended college in the Napa Valley, and received his Doctor
of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 1987 from Loma Linda University. The following year he moved his
family to Ukiah and began practicing here.
Dr. Ballard is married to Cathy who is a former elementary school teacher.
He has two daughters, Caitlin and Chelsea.
Dr. Ballard’s hobbies include sports (both spectator and participating),
music, family activities, and computers. His musical endeavors include directing the concert band at his
children’s school as a volunteer for the past few years.
He is a strong believer in continuing education, which allows him to stay
on the edge of dental technology. Dr. Ballard likes to introduce technologies to the community that make
dental treatment easier and more convenient:
He was the first dentist in the Ukiah area to use CEREC technology (CAD-CAM) which provides patients with
beautiful cosmetic results with the longest lasting materials the same day.
His office was also one of the earliest to use digital x-ray technology, dramatically lowering the amount
of radiation to patients.
He is a member of the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation (DOCS) which allow him to sedate you with
an oral medication so you can simply “sleep” through your dental appointment.
For the past five years his office has offered same-day dentures to our patients who need dentures. Dr. Ballard
and his skilled technician and team members can make the same high quality dentures that they always made, but
now can get them done in most cases the same day.
Dr. Ballard’s first priority is always the patient’s total comfort, peace of mind and guaranteed satisfaction.
He offers a wide variety of dental services, but always in the context of making sure that each patient feels
relaxed, informed and understood. When patients come to his office he and his staff will make sure there will
be no judgments, no lectures and virtually no pain.
